Nothing dooms your success like thinking you can do it all yourself, that you have all the answers, or that you should do it your way so that you can be unique in the marketplace.

Trust me - I used these excuses myself for quite a long time before recognizing that it pays to have a mentor. Early on, I thought, “I have a masters degree from THE Johns Hopkins University for crying out loud - I shouldn’t need help!” But several thousand dollars later in wasted spending and bad turns opened my eyes to the truth.
