Top 10 lists are always difficult because of who (or what) you leave off, but I’m going to take a chance anyway and share with you the 10 most influential women in my business right now or in the past.

Of course, there’s no way that I can really rank them in order, so I will cheat and list them alphabetically instead (by first name) :)  Regardless, I send each of you listed here a hearty thank you and appreciation for the role you’ve played in my success so far and in the future.

Events Are Product Creation Gold Mines

My friend Chris Morris has been doing an awesome job this week blogging about getting products created quickly (Read more here).

And it got me thinking that I haven’t told you about an important reason that events are so helpful for your business. Obviously they’re a great way to meet new people, learn some marketing ideas, etc.

But it’s also a great opportunity to make products and content for your audience. When you go to a seminar, conference, workshop, or local meeting, bring along your video camera.

You can use any video camera you can get your hands on (even many digital cameras have a video feature), but I personally love using the Flip Ultra. I haven’t picked up the HD – the old school Ultra is fine for most users.

Now the question you likely will have is what should I do a video about?

Marketing Tips From JV Alert Orlando

This past weekend, I attended JV Alert as a speaker and panelist. Over 125 people were there, and I did my best to meet as many as I could.

This was by far the best “connection” conference I’ve been to since my first one back in Baltimore in 2006. The host of JV Alert, Ken McArthur attracts not only the “big name” people, but also the up and comers who are committed to impacting the world around them.

I’ll introduce you to many of the people I met here on this blog.

The first is Adam Urbanski, who was one of the other featured speakers.

Learn From This World Class Internet Marketing Seminar

You can learn from the best internet marketing trainers in the world at what is shaping up to be the best seminar event I’ve seen in a long time.

And you won’t believe how little it costs (more on that in a second)…

Ross Goldberg is in the middle of hosting the virtual Masters Seminars series. The last few days have had awesome content, and there’s still 4 more days to go.

(You watch from your computer – so no travel is necessary!)

Today, Mari Smith teaches about Facebook. She is my own mentor on this topic, and is the leading expert in this field. In fact, companies typically pay her several thousand dollars for an afternoon consultation.

Joel Comm, Alan Bechtold, and Erik Stafford are also on tap.

Not sure what they’ll be teaching about, but I’ve seen them present live in person, and they are always entertaining and give you actionable things to learn from.

Now, if you are like me, you have absolutely no time for this training this week, right?!

But if you can get just one session in this week from all the great speakers, or visit the replay page for all the sessions between now and January 1, then you need to get yourself inside this event.

The technology Ross is using is incredible, and includes webcams, chatrooms, and slides in the presentation. You don’t have to download a bunch of fancy software, or even spend money on the phone call – it’s all played from your computer.

Now, for the price…

I spoke at one of Ross’s real Masters Seminars in Chicago – and it was $297 to attend, plus all the travel, hotel, etc. And if you missed a session because you couldn’t be in the room, well, there was no recording for you.

And other seminars I’ve attended with similar content and speaker lineup have cost $497, $1997 and $4997 respectively.

This virtual seminar is a lot less than those lofty prices.
