Yesterday, I received word that a long awaited report from one of my mentors (Paulie Sabol) and his business partners (Ben Mack and Jay Conrad Levinson) was finally released.
I decided to create a Squidoo lens about it in order to pick up traffic, revenue, etc., just like I teach in Squidoo Secrets. In less than an hour, I created a nifty little lens packed with my Squidoo strategies.
The report is called the Guerrilla Balance Sheet, and my lens is www.Squidoo.com/febene-review.
If you’ve been following my Squidoo Secrets course (either the first version, or through the live workshop that just ended last week), I invite you to participate in a Squidoo Secret hunt.
Check out the lens, do whatever comes to mind when you read over the lens, and then come back to this page to post your favorite affiliate marketing tips and Squidoo “secret” items that I included on the page. There are plenty to choose from, so if someone already picked yours, go ahead and list something else. (Just pick one, though, so more people can have fun with this…)

p.s. And if you enjoy the lens make sure you sprinkle some lens love with the stars :)

Most obvious: a very SEO-friendly title/headline, including two ways to refer to the report itself, the names of the authors, and the currently popular “maven” term riding on the coattails of Rich Schefren’s “Maven Matrix manifesto”
You’ve included multiple links to the affiliate site throughout the entire lens, including links from images (although the first image isn’t linked!)
Lots of interactive modules. There are numerous polls in which the reader can vote and places for them to leave comments. It makes the lens fun and keeps people interested in the lens. Hopefully it leads them to buying and downloading the report.
I noticed multiple uses of HTML throughout your lens. Bolding on main points under “That’s Great, But Does FeBeNe Make Sense For You?” was obvious. More bolding noted under “Can I Apply What’s Inside Right Away?”. Several , anchor tags used throughout the lens. There was a definate absence of the , italics tag. Great example of “practicing what you preach”. Thanks for willingly teaching your secrets.
Good use of Video in two places to acquaint readers with the co-authors
I like the idea of what I now call the fishing net. You write a review on a new product. Include “review” in the title. You give an uplifting and inspiring review. And you include plenty of links to your own products along with the subject of the review. So you end up catching ‘fish’ for the product you review, and ‘fish’ for your own products.
I noticed you gave your readers a chance to vote about the information
learned in Guerilla Balance Sheet. Readers love to give input. You have included “Find Out What Is FeBeNe For Yourself” twice on your blog to give people more than one chance to click.
1) All of the above.
2) Though busy, I stopped for the Ben Mack video: fatastic: command a crowd and Think 2 Products ahead.
3)Fun. The text kept asking questions and was a bit tongue and cheek.
4) Knew the cost early
5) The “connect bar at the bottom” so I posted a short Digg.
Haven’t got to read all the previous tips yet, but now I will and tell friends. Thanks! Mary MacIntyre

Hi, Bob-
nice lens!
I noticed the many different ways you try to nudge the reader to click on a link to the optin page… a different text in every section, but all with the same destination- the signup! You are the Master!

I liked the big text balloon asking people to comment and providing another link. I liked particularly its large open size, and clear call to action.
Interesting post.
I don’t see the point of it so there is no way I’d waste the $7.
Mind you, I think that anyone that pays more than $20 for any (mis)information product or training should be locked up as a danger to himself.
Can’t really say any more as the post seemed to be self-serving gobbledygook.
I didn’t watch the videos, I never listen to audio or watch video. Rubbish! 100% rubbish.
lies are still lies and I’m not going to fall for them just because they are on video. LOL
As mentioned above, you have captured and have used a majority of the techniques you teach in this lens.
What is amazing is that it is at #37 in business and ranked #542 out of the 400,000+ lens. This has been accomplished in only 3 days.
For the record, with this kind of performance, you got to know that I connected the lens anywhere and everywhere I could.
