Road Trip To Vegas Day Two

We’re about to head out of Oklahoma City this morning on Day 3 of the Road Trip to Vegas, where I’m teaching Butterfly Marketing strategies at a conference hosted by it’s creator, Mike Filsaime.
Yesterday was the longest drive (by design), and it was filled with some amazing scenery of a part of the country I’ve never been through.
Have to say driving takes longer, but it sure is a good way to see what’s out there.
We drove from Birmingham to OKC, which took us through Memphis, Tennessee; Tupelo, Mississippi (birthplace of… (put your guess in the comments); over the bridge of the Mississippi River into Arkansas, and eventually into Texas.
The surprise of the day was B98.5 radio in Arkansas. As I wrote yesterday, the auxiliary jack of the car isn’t working, and for some reason our XM receiver that I pulled from my car isn’t getting a clear signal. So we’re a slave to the radio since we burned through our CDs the first day. The radio station was quite good, and lasted almost the entire way through Arkansas, which along I-40 is a long way.
Another surprise was Rick’s Rib House in Ft. Smith, Arkansas, on the border with Oklahoma. Delicious food, quick and courteous service, etc. Would definitely recommend it over the traditional exit-restaurant food.
Shot some more video during Day 2 as well. I think you’ll love the clouds and the open flatness of the region after the rolling lower Appalachian/Ozarks.
Time to get going for a shorter drive today. We’re headed to Albuquerque, where I get to meet two more of my favorite people – Meredith Eisenberg and Judy Kelly, at a local business women Meetup. Should be fun!

p.s. There’s still time to get a charter membership at the IM Success Library, “where you can learn a lot for a little!”
p.p.s. I should have video and photos from the first 2 days coming out tomorrow.

Just realised I’d commented on yesterdays post so you are well beyond Missouri by now. Enjoy Albuquerque – one of my favourite places on that trip. I guess you will be heading for Sedona tomorrow then.
I discovered several years ago that my Mom’s side of the family is originally from Tupelo, MS. We rarely attend family reunions, but we did make the one that was in in Tupelo, and if memory serves me correctly, it is the birthplace of Elvis Presley. I was quite surprised to learn that since it’s not often mentioned.
[...] installs of the Butterfly Marketing script and set up a portion of the Admin Dashboards for 10 of Bob “The Teacher” Jenkins‘ sites, learning ALL that goes into building a Butterfly Marketing site is NO JOKE! I had NO [...]
My man Elvis was born in Tupelo, Mississippi, and when the astral conditions are right, I can channel him. Ask me about my Blue Suede Shoes, and how I am Stuck on You! Mike Logan Oh, yeah. Big Momma Thornton did the original version of You Ain’t Nothing But a Hound Dog.
Elvis and his twin Jesse were born in Tupelo Jan. 8th, 1935…and he unfortunately died not even 2 mos after I was born;-(
Anyway just had to leave you a comment b/c every time I come to this site I get a warning from Google about malware being hosted on Squidoo Secrets. Thought you might wanna know.
Have a safe trip…was planning to go to Vegas for the seminar but unfortunately didn’t work out…next time!!!LOL
