Poland Travel Video #2: Szczecin, Debrzno & Człuchów
June 17th, 2008 · Filed Under: Bob The Teacher Training · Personal · Productivity · Time Management
For the last few days, we’ve visited with other members of Joanna’s family.
First, we went to the city of Szczecin to see her sister. The city is right on the border with Germany.
After a bit of shopping around Debrzno the next day, we then went to Człuchów, which is a short drive from here. That’s where Joanna’s cousin, aunt, and grandmother live.
Unfortunately, during the Szczecin trip, my batteries ran low on my camera so I had to do a few still pictures instead of all clips. But this gives me the opportunity to introduce you to my favorite musical composer.
Enjoy the video!
Comments welcome as always, post below…
Bob
p.s. Before I left North Carolina, I brought Freemind with me on a portable hard drive to help me make the most of the little time I am working here. I’ve already made a lot of progress on three major projects I’m working on right now. If you haven’t set up Freemind yet, and learned how to use it, remember I’ve set up a training site for you with Freemind tutorials here.

I’ve never been to Poland but I have visited
a Polish restaurant here in Houston Texas where
I tasted some of the best pork and fruit syrups
in my life.
I thoroughly enjoyed your video production.
Thank you so much for the tour.
Good luck to you and Joanna.

Hi Bob,
Looks like you are having a great time in Poland. Good Job on the Videos. Just one small comment. When you are speaking, the music is a little too loud. It is hard to hear you

Bob:
Your Mom and I are really enjoying your videos. I particularly liked the last shot of Joanna’s Mom and Grandmom! So cute!
Ditto that the last comment about the relative loudness between your voice and the Glass soundtrack! And you know how much I love Phillip Glass:) Maybe your next video should be played against “Einstein on the Beach”? Kidding!!!
Hope you two are having a blast!

Thanks for the comments and appreciation of my movie making (especially from Carlin as he is a pro) - not bad for windows movie maker with Polish menus! The music does get loud on that one spot, but I don’t have the software installed here to make the sound go down without eliminating it completely during that section.
But I will definitely pay attention to the crescendos at the wrong spot!
We went to the town square here in Debrzno today for a flea market that comes up once a month or so. Lots of people and wannabe American clothes for sale, but didn’t feel the need to shoot it.
The next two days are heavy travel. To Człuchów again tomorrow (Cwartek - Thursday), then we are evidently going to Bydgoszcz (Piątek - Friday) to take a train to Posnań and back up to Piła then home to Debrzno. Should have the next video up on Niedziela (Sunday - no work day).
Going back to watch the Sweden Russia game now…
Bob
p.s. Thanks for first official comment Dave. Hope all is well at the Wayside Inn!

What a wonderful video. I will be moving from here in Ohio, to Natchez, Ms, (1050 miles) This Saturday (June 21, 2008). I might take my video camera out and shoot some of some of the stops between here, and there.
I found this to be intriguing!
Great work… er fun!

Thanks for offering the sights of Poland. You even taught some language that is pretty darn good. I did find it interesting and you did do a pretty good job of making the clips and putting them together.
Have a great time on your vacation
