Greetings from Poland!
Joanna and I are having a great time so far, and I will be doing my best to send a few videos your way so you can see what it’s like over here.
You can watch the first video below.
I don’t claim to be a master video producer, so forgive the rough edits. I am using Windows Movie Maker, so nothing fancy.
There are also some bumpy parts towards the end from within the car. But I wanted to show you what driving in Poland is like also.
This first segment includes old town Warsaw and our drive to Debrzno. Tomorrow, we visit Joanna’s sister in Szczecin, which is on the western border with Germany.
Enjoy!Bob
p.s. I also uploaded a video from JV Alert, where I got Rachel Rofe to explain her new Make 10K Next Weekend program. If you want to help offline businesses use internet marketing strategies, this is something you must see…

LOL! I love that video! Especially the perogies. Bigos is very yummy too.
I speak very broken polish, but can understand the language a lot better then I can speak it. When I went to Poland, the people speak very fast and I had a hard time understanding them. I can understand my Polish family in the America’s but not in Poland.
I think the sign says angry dog!
Hey Bob!
Thanks for the video. Nice job :)

Hey Bob
I feel your pain lol..
It is hard sometimes being the one in the car not understanding the conversation, but it also has its perks sometimes ;)
I am learning Afrikaans, but it is a slow process. In just around 10 days from now we will make the trip from UK to Johannesburg once more and once more I will be in trips around town wondering what some of the conversation is about between the family lol.
It is fun to learn a new language though.
Enjoy the rest of your trip, hope to catch up again soon, all the best

PS- Nice video :)
I miss having Polish friends to talk with, my mom’s people were from Lodz and they moved to Kiev (Ukraine) when she was a baby. My dad spoke Russian and my mom, Polish so I grew up with both, even before English. Both have been gone for many years now and I find myself losing the languages. I’m living in Montana now, no one here to keep in practice.
:(
Those pierogi look so yummy I’m going to make a batch for my “obiad.” “Smacznego” (enjoy the tastiness) is what you say when you sit down at the table.
The sign says “mean, angry, nasty, bad” dog. Beware! The closest is probably “ill-tempered,” it’s funny how sometimes there isn’t any one single word.
My mom had beautiful scarves that she brought back from a visit many years ago, do the women still wear them? I wonder if the traditional embroidery is still popular, and there were lovely carved wooden boxes, inlaid with metal designs, and amber jewelry. Poland has become very modern with all the shops and malls.
Hope you have a wonderful time.
Totally awesome videos! My mom’s mom used to make perogies! They are totally awesome when made right!
Enjoyed the video! It’s always fun to see video from a place I’m not at all familiar with. The perogies look yummy!
Czesc Bob!
Wow.. that brings back memories. I lived in Warsaw (pre-mall) for a year as an exchange student.
Thanks for sharing and watch out for the mean dog!

Great video Bob!
My grandparents on my father’s side came to US straight from Poland. Spoke Polish & English w them till I was 9yrs old, then lost it. Still recognized some words as you were in the car though.
Funny w the flat escalator in the mall. I could see someone rolling something right down that baby. :))
My wife is from Russia…I’ve been there 8 times…her family is wonderful…but I felt like you did…in a car or home with people speaking a foreign language that I can barely understand…I don’t think I could survive there alone.
