Long time subscriber Charlie Poxon asked me this morning, “How can I start a list in a new niche?”
This question is a well-timed one actually.
I have two answers for this. One is to find the forums in that niche (Google “your topic forum”), and become an active member. Add your signature to each of your posts, and be helpful.
Make sure people see you as a trustworthy person who adds value to the community. And in your signature file, be sure to link to a squeeze page where you can give away your ezine or free report.
But what if you don’t have an ezine or free report yet….
Well, that’s why this question is so timely. I’ve been talking about MyViralSpiral for some time now, and using it since it’s 1.0 release early this year (the one I’m recommending is now 2.1).
A person who wants to start a list in their new niche has a perfect tool with MVS because it automates that process of giving away the report, and letting your new subscriber give it away, too.
Every referral that comes into the system belongs to their list AND yours.
But there’s one additional perk about MVS that I haven’t stressed, that will help Charlie and others thinking the same thing: “I don’t have the time to write a new report.”
MVS comes with 300 Private Label Rights products that you can use to break up into a subscriber newsletter, a series of articles, or use as a standalone free report.
You can see all the PLR products that come with MVS here.
Personally, I’m reworking the one on Beef Jerky recipes in order to build my list in that targeted niche, so I can build my Jerky Direct business even faster on autopilot. But with 300 to choose from, you have a lot to work with.
And if you don’t find a niche in that list that you are looking for, then simply search at Google for “your term PLR” and see what comes up.
The important thing to remember about MVS is it makes it easy, AND profitable for your subscribers to give away the reports you put into your system.
It comes pre-loaded with 6, but you can put as many in there as you want.
Be sure to watch the video from Saturday’s post to get a clear picture of how it works.
If list building is a major goal of yours, then my strongest recommendation is to grab the MyViralSpiral system for yourself. Get the free trial, test it out, then license the whole package before Tim raises the price (I know this is happening in mere days). His hosted option is great for techno-phobes, but the best option is the Silver (Tim’s support team is superb, too).
To your list building success!

p.s. I’m hosting a call with Tim tomorrow afternoon at 4 p.m. EDT. Watch the blog for an alert — but he’ll be revealing the the strategies behind MyViralSpiral in an intense training session.
