You’ll see another Social Networking article in a moment, but I need to give you a quick update first that will help you learn where my focus will be in July. Hopefully it connects with what you need, too, so I can help you this summer.

First, let me give an update on Discover Social Networking, the newest site I’ve created for you. I was going to release it in early July, but I’ve decided against postponing it simply to make the site prettier for you.

As you know, I’m in Poland until next Wednesday, after which I play in a state tennis tournament for 4 days (Pinehurst, NC). I was going to wait until my graphics came back and I had time to spiffy up the transcripts for this new site, which means not releasing this training until July 8 or so.

But through this past week, I’ve had a lot of time to read and think about what my focus should really be on to help you the most. I just finished reading Elsom Eldridge’s book, The Obvious Expert this week, and I became even more convinced that writing my first book is at the top of my priority list. Elsom gave me the book in Philadelphia as a gift, and reading it showed me how important this will be.

My friend and mastermind partner Glen Hopkins had already planted the seed and made it obvious this should be a goal this year, and that getting a book published is a lot easier than most of us think.

Putting Elsom and Glen’s thoughts together during vacation time has given me more clarity on this - I will write and publish my first book by August 18.

So what does this have to do with Discover Social Networking and you?

Well, I want my entire focus for the month of July to be on just three things: my Inner Circle, Teleseminar Formula and preparations for my first workshop in August.

And because of that, I’m going to release Discover Social Networking early, even though it’s unpolished. You shouldn’t have to wait to learn the lessons, and I need to turn my focus 100% on those 3 areas I can help people the most.

So I will be opening this training up within the next few days (before I get on the plane to fly home). I don’t have a snazzy HTML editor, but I do know how to use cPanel… so I’ve just been using the cPanel HTML editor instead. It works good enough for the purpose of the site, which is to teach you the basics and intermediate steps of using Facebook, Twitter, and Ning for your business.

Now let me share with you why I’ve picked the three things I’ve chosen to focus on…

The Inner Circle is my group coaching program that is currently closed, but opens to new members at the end of the month for July membership. Currently, about 31 members are inside masterminding, asking me questions, and getting advanced strategies from me in our exclusive community. Results continue to improve, but I want to make sure that each person is making the progress they desire.

I’ve already taught the group masterminding, but during July, I want to also teach them how to work with an accountability partner.

My primary focus in July is going to be on TeleseminarFormula.com. The Teleseminar Formula training course is my new favorite that I’ve taught because the immediate results people are getting are pretty exciting. I need to make sure that I do my best to continue to grow that community since part of its attraction is the activity of members who take the course. Everyone gets the chance to work together to hold their first teleseminar, and then create more products, improving each step of the way.

Because it has had such a big impact already, and has built such momentum for those that have taken the course, I’ve decided that my first book will actually be about how to grow any information or service business with teleseminars.

Just like I teach in the course, I’ll be taking the transcripts from the complete course and parsing them down to the essential 6 steps of my formula: plan, prepare, present, package, promote, and profit. With a bit of editing, adding new thoughts, and sharing a few case studies, my first book will be ready by the end of the summer (I’ll let you know next week how you can be part of this process if you’d like to be).

Teleseminar Formula will also be my main focus because I will be a featured speaker for the first time at an internet marketing conference. At the Masters Seminar, Chicago (July 18-20), I’ll be presenting my Teleseminar Formula system to the audience there, and I know I need to deliver the goods if I ever want to speak a second time!

As for my IM Success Workshop - I’m very excited to be holding it at my parents’ bed & breakfast in Ellicott City in August. Speaking in Seattle at Glen’s event in May reminded me of why I love teaching so much. The virtual workshops are cool, and the teleseminars are good, but for me and those I work with, nothing beats teaching people in person.

I’m very proud of the kind of impact I have in person when I can really understand what people are struggling with in their business (the same was true when dealing with history, too). This workshop is the first of many opportunities I’ll have to mastermind with a group of people in person and get them to higher ground. Even though there will be more later, because this will be the first I know it will be very special.

Delivering a solid weekend of instruction, networking, and motivation must be at the top of my priority list to make sure those that choose to attend will benefit tremendously.

I’ve got a lot more I could share with you about this thought process, but that’s probably enough details for you for now.
