Last night’s Halftime Sale was a huge success!
In about 35 total minutes of the sale, affiliates helped 258 people get all 12 of the internet marketing lessons for just $10! Another 10% of those decided to take me up on my special offer for a discounted ticket to the 2008 Success Workshop II – You And Squidoo: Mastering Web 2.0 that starts this Friday.
All told, the Halftime Sale had a Gross Revenue of $5005 before Paypal fees. Affiliates earned about 1/3 of that and will be paid on February 15.
When I was teaching high school history, working 60 hours per week, I made about $3400 in a month after taxes, and all that. After working hard all week, and getting help from so many affiliates, the Halftime Sale brought in the same amount of money in 34 minutes. Still blows my mind!
I tell you this to say… what an impact internet marketing has had on my life, and why I am so passionate to help you succeed as well. This sale took a lot of creativity, hard work, and time to develop the products that I included. If you have the same kind of drive to succeed, and you are patient with your results, but persistent with your goals – you will find the journey much more rewarding.
As for the affiliates themselves, I’d like to recognize everyone who helped share the Halftime Sale.
I did not have a contest, but I did keep track.
The top 5 affiliates were:
- Tim Brocklehurst (the king of viral marketing didn’t promote until the final 24 hours and came out on top!)
- Matthew Glanfield
- Todd Gross (Todd had the most sales among all affiliates)
- Chris Morris
- Larry Dotson (not sure of your website, Larry – sorry!)
Of the 938 members who registered for the site, 524 came from affiliates. Of those, 313 came from these top 5 members (60%).
The following is a list of all the other affiliates who shared the Halftime Sale with at least one other person successfully, in alphabetical order by first name:

Now, you may be wondering what’s next.
First, my next “planned” sale like this one is set for November 4, 2008. Obviously, that’s a ways away, but I’ve had the date picked out since mid-2006.
A bit closer on the calendar is the second 2008 Success Workshop, which begins on Friday of this week. It’s a 4-day virtual workshop (February 8, 9, 15, 16) all about Squidoo and Web 2.0. You are invited to join us at 2008SuccessWorkshop.com.
Of course, Halftime Sale 2009 will be in February of next year.
That’s all for now. Make sure you keep up with what else is going on at AskBobTheTeacher.com, or inside our tribe on Ning.
Have a great week!
Bob Jenkins
p.s. Special thanks also to Anita Johnson for helping me with the support tickets that came in last night and this morning. That was a huge help!
