Since we had so much fun with the 30 Day Autoresponder Challenge, I’m going to do another docu-blog experiment.
This time, it’s just going to be 4-6 posts, and take less than a week.
I’m going to be sharing what I’m doing to create a free, rebrandable report that I can use to build my list in a certain topic, while also giving affiliates a handy tool to make more sales.
Since I’ve recently published the ebook series version of Teleseminar Formula, my report will attract attention to that site, as well as my IM Success Library.
To create my report, I’m going to be following my own training videos in my Discover Product Creation course, which is included in the IM Success Library Gold membership.
Here are the steps in brief:
- Outline the content
- Write the content
- Format for the web
- Upload it online
- Spread the word
- Bonus: Make it rebrandable for affiliates
I’m not sure how long it will take, but I’m targeting Monday as the finish line.
So let’s get started with step 1.
Outline The Content
Whenever I’m going to be writing a report (or ebook, or even holding a teleseminar), I use a mindmap to give myself a quick overview of what I want to include.
This helps me to rearrange the pieces of the report before typing the first word.
I often find writer’s block a big issue for myself and those I teach – and Freemind is the block-breaker.
As part of the outline, it helps if I also have a few goals in mind for my report.
The central purpose of this report is to give readers a quick checklist of steps to take to hold their first teleseminar the same day they read my report. I want them to get the feeling that they can do their first teleseminar right away, and break through some of the usual excuses that stand in their way.
I also want the report to serve as a stepping stone for them to get Module 1 of my Teleseminar Formula course for free, and eventually upgrade to either the ebook series, or the full video/audio course.
Here’s my outline so far:

I can spend time rearranging the order if I want, and notice that I’m not getting hung up on the title of the report, or even the little details of each section.
With this mindmap outline done, I can take any section of the report and write it “as it comes to me”, instead of starting from a blank page.
So on to the next step: writing the content!
If you’d like to help me name the report, or have questions about teleseminars you’d like to see me answer in this report, please post a comment below!
And remember, the steps I’m taking are taught in-depth (and in video) in my Discover Product Creation Course. That course is $47 at DiscoverProductCreation.com, but you get it included in your IM Success Library Gold membership.

p.s. I find Freemind to be one of my biggest time savers! This map took me less than 10 minutes to put together, and it will save me countless hours of fiddling with writing from scratch! I still can’t believe it’s free mindmapping software!
p.p.s. You don’t have to give away your reports. You can sell them for $5 – $10 like Jimmy D. Brown teaches in his Small Reports Fortune course.

Hi Bob the free report looks like a great Idea. I like the Record a teleseminar by the end of today title. Because of the instant gratification factor!! I use freemind as well thanks to your recommendation. It is an exceptional tool that is extremely user friendly. I can’t believe it’s free either.
