Nothing Beats Meeting Face To Face
April 18th, 2008 · Filed Under: Announcements · Bob The Teacher Training · Business Building · Caribbean Cruise · Internet Marketing Seminars · Marketers Cruise · Productivity
As someone who spends most of his time at the computer, I realize how easy it is to fall into the trap of isolation. Sure there’s email, and the occasional phone call or teleseminar. But nothing beats real face to face human interaction.
Are you getting enough of this? Beyond the ability to get out once in a while, meeting with real people face to face gives you that energy boost your business needs - a kick start to revitalize the passions for why you are doing this in the first place.
Earlier this week, I had the chance to meet with a local group of business professionals in a bit of a mastermind. We shared ideas about how to “close” the deal when it comes to selling products (both offline and online). We also discussed the challenges we are currently facing and round tabled how to address those issues.
This is great networking, and I hope you have something like it in your area. And if you don’t - you should start one up!
Fortunately, there are other opportunities to meet face to face with like-minded people, share your success stories, address your challenges, and get that energy boost again.
Face it - we are surrounded by people who have no idea what internet marketing is, that we’re all just “wasting time” until we get a “real” job. So it’s important that you spend some time now and then face to face with people who truly “get” what you are trying to accomplish.
Personally, I’d love to meet you face to face and talk shop. And over the next couple of months, there are several ways for us to do just that. I hope one of these fits your schedule and geography because it’s a lot of fun to meet up. Plus, each of these events will give you the chance to meet with other business builders - both eager novices and gurus and every one in between.
May 16 - 18 Glen Hopkins’ Online Marketing Success Workshop (may be sold out, but check to be sure)
Seattle, Washington
Glen is hosting this workshop for up to 20 people, and I will be there as a guest expert and panelist. With such a small crowd, it will be easy for you to get your specific needs addressed. Glen’s specialties are in list building, and long term growth. Affiliate marketing, teleseminars, and many other topics will be covered during this intensive 3 day workshop.
May 31 - June 1 Tim Brocklehurst’s Freedom Class
Orlando, Florida
Tim is the creator of the MVS system, and during this 2-day workshop, all attendees walk away with an up and running business based on MVS, 12 months of hosted MVS, strategic lessons during the workshop, and plenty of audio training from me and Tim’s Super League series. I will be at this event as a guest expert and panelist. This workshop is also limited to 20 people total, and half of those seats were gone last time I checked. If you join the Freedom Class in Orlando, I’ll treat you to dinner Saturday night and make sure we have a chance to get to know each other.
Tim is holding additional Freedom Classes in Melbourne Australia (May 3-4), London UK (June 28-29), and Los Angeles US (September 20, 21). Although I will not be there personally, these may be more convenient for you. Full details are at this page.
June 6-8 Ken McArthur’s JV Alert Live
Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
This will be my first ever JV Alert Live and I can’t wait to go. I’ve heard so many great things about these particular events it’s crazy. I’ll be there as a participant, just like you. This event usually has a couple hundred people evidently, and I know the following people are supposed to be there: Donna Fox, Mike Paetzold, Dan Kelly, Ross Goldberg, Micheal Savoie, Scott Tousignant among many others - that’s in addition to the great speaker lineup.
July 18-20 Ross Goldberg’s Masters Seminar
Chicago, Illinois
Details for this event have not been released yet, but Ross’ previous seminars have been big hits with those in attendance (so I’m told). This will be my first time at a Masters’ Seminar, and I’m looking forward to it because I know how much Ross emphasizes education of the audience over selling from the stage.
August 15-17 Bob The Teacher’s IM Success Workshop (link coming soon)
Ellicott City, Maryland (near Baltimore)
It’s finally official - my first private workshop will be held in the middle of August, in my old stomping grounds. Details will be released in May, but this workshop will be limited to about 15 registrations only. Plenty of opportunity to have your specific needs addressed, and the chance to learn from me in person. I have a number of surprises to make my workshop one to remember for sure. I will also have a couple of special guests to join me in teaching you how to implement the best strategies for your specific business.
January 8 - 16, 2009 Mike Filsaime’s Marketers’ Cruise
Southern Caribbean Cruise, Carnival Miracle
This cruise is less a workshop and more of a real vacation, with plenty of networking during the 8 day trip. Bring the whole family if you want! I will be on the cruise with Joanna and we’re hoping to also bring a few of her family members from Poland over for the vacation as well. The cruise in January of this year was incredible, and this time I will be hosting a group of my own for our own workshop on board. Plus, with Mike Filsaime leading the larger group, there will be over 200 marketers to meet and mix with. If this cruise is up your alley, make sure to choose my name in the “Referred By” box on the reserveation page, so you can be part of my workshop group on board.
I hope that at least one of these events can be part of your schedule. Meeting with you face to face - for a few minutes at JV Alert or on the cruise, or for longer periods at one of the private workshops - would give us a chance to get to know each other more. And again, with such an energizing crowd of marketers at each event, you’re bound to come away with great ideas, excellent partnerships, and perhaps even a stellar mastermind team to help you grow your business.
My first event was in September of 2006, and that set in motion every success I’ve had since. I want you to have a similar experience, too!

Hey Bob,
Can’t wait to hang out with you in Philly and most likely in Chicago, and I know there’s a couple more that we will both be at.
Totally pumped about the cruise in January. I seriously think about it every day. Last year was unforgettable and life changing.
In fact every event that I have been to has contributed to greater success in my business. The 1st one that I went to totally changed my life. It opened up my eyes to what’s really going on behind the scenes and made what I was doing seem so real. After all, I had everyone else telling me that this was a pipe dream.
I formed some of the best relationships at my first event and then my second event was where I met you and our other mastermind buddies.
If you haven’t been to an event you’ve got to make it a priority.
Keep rockin Bob!

Hi Bob! It’s been quite a year for me. I lost my PC due to a nasty trojan and my Mom passed away so alot of things are unfinished, including my website. I am practically starting over online and I am so excited! I have taken Liz Tomey’s advise and get out to conferences to do some learning and networking. I will see you at JV Alert Live and on the Marketers Cruise. I am also going to Armand Morin’s Big Seminar next weekend. Just couldn’t pass that opportunity up, especially since it is being held not far from my home here in Atlanta. I love what you have to share and I learn alot from you. I look forward to talking with you in person! Thank you for all your hard work.
All the Best,

Hi Bob,
First of all thanks for the invite to meet you. I am writing my first book and I won’t be able to travel at this time. This book is about helping the youth who are dropping out of school because they have lost interest and it’s becoming quite regular now. Parents are beginning to show concern that their children are not getting what they deserve to become successful in the community. There are a lot of cut-backs and strikes that are hampering their children’s learning process.
I decided to write a book that will encourage them to be creative and to be motivated. I decided that a new system/method to teach the youth has to be introduced because the system isn’t keeping up with what’s going on in the real world, and many are falling through the cracks.
I hope to finish the book soon to bring some excitement into the classroom.
Wishing you all the best,
Marsha

Bob, I won’t be making any of those trips, but maybe we will run into each other one day since we both live in North Carolina.

Bob,
You betcha, “face to face” conversation is absolutely irreplaceable. A road trip is even better! ;-) In the meantime, I look forward to seeing you again (Philly, my second jvAlertLive). I highly recommend it and Ken McArthur’s Impact Factor (launching on 13 May at 1 PM eastern). It’ll be a Zingwhacker, Bob! See you soon.
Regards,
Cheri
