Excitement Is Brewing For SIMPLE In Wilmington NC

We’re just a few days away from SIMPLE – the School for Information Marketing Profits – Live Event. I know it’s a weird title, but I’m a weird teacher.
In any case, if you’re coming to Wilmington next week, I thought it would be cool for you to share your excitement with the others reading this. And also get a chance to let those that will be here have an idea of what you’re about, what you’re looking for at the event, etc.
So please post a comment below and answer as much of these questions as you’d like to:
- Your name, where you are traveling from, your primary website, and Twitter ID if you have one
- What has been your favorite training course or learning result from working with me in the past?
- What are your primary goals while you’re at SIMPLE?
- If this is your first event, what are you nervous about?
- Anything else you’d like others to know before they meet you in person?
Of course, when you’re here, you’ll have a nametag and plenty of time to get to know each other. And since the event is designed to be small (about 60 people total), you won’t feel lost in a huge crowd.
See you in a few days!
Bob Jenkins
p.s. If you’re not on the list yet, you may still be able to get one of those last tickets. See if any are left at SIMPLE10K.com.

Hi, I’m Bruce Brown of Quantum Results Coaching. My wife Marge and I live in Leland (the same town as Bob Jenkins) and we’re both really pumped about attending SIMPLE 10K next week.
Marge and I are writers, speakers and coaches. I’m an expert in business networking and relationship marketing. I’m also a former educator, therapist, computer consultant and high tech journalist. Marge has a background in corporate information technology development and deployment, software marketing, business coaching and high tech journalism. We’re both also Certified Passion Test Facilitators.
Marge and I are each writing a series of books. One of mine is already available (on Amazon and in local bookstores), 31 Days to Networking Event Mastery. This is volume one of a series of 12 Business Mastery books, the second two titles, 31 Days to Relationship Marketing Mastery and 31 Days to Greeting Card Mastery Marketing plus an expanded version of the Networking Event Mastery Book will be out within a week or maybe two, it finally went from the publisher to the printers yesterday. Marge’s series focuses on personal development. Her first title, 31 Days to Personal Mastery: Manifesting Your Ideal Life is in final editing right now plus we’re working on the audio version. We expect her book to be available by Mid March.
We’re attending SIMPLE 10K in part because we’re huge fans of Bob. I attended local seminar he ran for making the most of Facebook and Twitter two years ago and I was very pleased by the hands-on approach, the immediately usable content and Bob’s interaction and teaching Style.
Our immediate needs are to learn more about the process of marketing our created content as well as new content we have in the works. We also want to grow our coaching, training and speaking businesses. While both of us are reasonably facile and computer astute (we were both Contributing Editors at PC Magazine for years), we do not want to spend a more significant amount of time than we already do on our computers – or if we do, we want to spend the time creating and communicating, not programming, designing, and managing intense internet marketing programs. So we’re very interested in talking with potential joint venture partners to work with us in marketing our products in particular and possibly also our services.
We’ve lived in the Wilmington/Leland, NC area for 6 years and are huge fans of this area. If this is your first visit to Wilmington, it’s safe to say that if you get a chance to check out and enjoy the area before or after SIMPLE 10K then you’re in for a treat.
I’m looking forward to meeting you.
- Bruce

Bob and everyone,
I’m so excited to be coming from Albany, NY to head to SIMPLE. I’m Shannon Cherry, known as The Power Publicist (http://www.thepowerpublicist.com) and founder of Be Heard Solutions (http://www.beheardsolutions.com). I help people become the recognized expert by using the power of publicity. My Twitter id is @shannoncherry.
The most impactful experience I have had with Bob (no, not the time we sang together) was at NAMS. Bob, you opened my eyes on how I was leaving money on the table, and how I was making things way too complicated to get good results.
My goals are, well… Simple. 1) I want to connect with everyone attending and learn from them. 2) Discover the gaps in my own business, and find ways to fill them.
This is not my first event, but I am nervous just the same. Believe it or not, I am
always nervous prior to events. For me, I want to be liked, accepted and helpful. I am always worried that won’t come across.
As for anything else, I’d like people to know I am
open and approachable…. Pick my brain. I love to help!
Hey, Shannon, (”Hey” is North Carolina for “Hello”)
I’m looking forward to meeting you. We have a bunch in common! Odds are pretty good you’ll find the weather much milder here than there next weekend.
Bruce
Hi Shannon,
I am Joyce Jagger and I live in Binghamton, NY. I cannot wait to meet you at SIMPLE.
I have been working with Bob for a long time and I am really excited about being at his event. I went to an even of his in 2008 at Maryland and it was great. I learned a lot from him.
See you in Wilmington!
Hi, Joyce!
Binghampton! Are you bringing some Spiedie Sauce with you? (Don’t worry, you can get it here if you have a Spiedie Sauce emergency.)
Looking forward to meeting you!
Bruce
Hey Shannon,
Sorry you can’t make it because of the weather, but we’re thinking of you and will catch you next time!
Bruce
Hi everyone,
My name is Kate Wilber and I am traveling from Milford, Delaware.
I am the owner of the online Children’s Boutique Barefoot Bella,
http://www.barefootbela.net
the business blog The Marketing Momma,
http://www.themarketingmomma.com
and I have an online course called Start An Online Store
http://www.startanonlinestore.com that I have just recently launched.
I also offer marketing services for other online businesses and would like to eventually become a successful business coach.
My Twitter ID is http://www.twitter.com/MommaMarketing
My favorite part of being able to learn from Bob has been the one on one coaching. Having him be able to look at what I am working on and getting his personal feedback has been extremely helpful to my progress.
My primary goals while attending SIMPLE are to meet some great like minded people, to learn as much as I possibly can from all of the successful people attending and contributing to the event, and to have a clear path to follow to reach my goals when I get home from the event to take my business to the next level.
This is not my first event, I have attended two other events this past year but I am nervous, mostly due to I tend to be a shy person in general and going to events like this is definately out of my comfort zone.
I have been a stay at home mom for the past 9 years and all of my children will finally be going to school full time next year so my goal is to have my business be a full time business for me by the time they are all in school next Fall. I have much larger goals past that initial one, but I know there are many stepping stones that I need to follow to reach that dream.
I look forward to getting to know all of you and hope that we can form some new friendships and business relationships at this great event!
Hey Kate,
Wilmington is one of the friendliest places on the planet, so put aside concerns about meeting people here – even visitors catch on quick. It’s kinda in the air and in the water, I think and I’m sure it will pervade the room.
Local friendliness just adds to the other reasons this will be a great event. Downtown Wilmington is quite pretty even as parts of it are being redeveloped – for example, the hotel where it’s being held is adjacent to a 320 square block historic district! Right on the river, which is a wide, working river with lots of interesting river traffic, with plenty of cool places to walk nearby (there’s even a wooden sidewalk called The Riverwalk that runs right in front of the hotel and goes maybe a half mile along the river in front of a lot of cool places).
So with the energy and openness of the folks coming, the awesome crew Bob has assembled, not to mention the content of the program which is the primary reason we’re all showing up, this will be a great time AND opportunity.
Looking forward to meeting you.
Bruce
Bruce and I have designed the extraordinary life we want to live from this point forward and we are putting in place the means to make it a reality. We believe Internet Marketing is one of our “Hows” to create the necessary financial abundance. I’m looking forward to meeting everyone, having a fun weekend, and learning a lot from Bob, one of my favorite Teachers!
See you soon, Marge Brown
Hey Marge,
I’m writing notes to everyone else here, so I wanted to tell you that I’m really glad we’re going to this 3 day event together. It will rock, which is awesome, cuz so do you!
Lots of great folks to meet, it looks like and this way together we can connect with everyone. And, with two of us hearing/seeing/absorbing the content – that will work well for us, too.
Oh, and thanks for agreeing go out with me on a blind date 40 years ago!
Love,
Bruce
Bob!
Homework for your fellow faculty?? [sigh] Well, ok, I guess… here goes:
1. Your name, where you are traveling from, your primary website, and Twitter ID if you have one: Felicia Slattery; Chicago suburbs; http://CommunicationTransformation.com; @FeliciaSlattery (http://Twitter.com/FeliciaSlattery)
2. What has been your favorite training course or learning result from working with me in the past? Too hard to say. You’ve taught me tons just by knowing you & talking to you.
3. What are your primary goals while you’re at SIMPLE? Primary goals: 1. Hug Bob the Teacher. Hug Shannon Cherry. Hug Nicole Dean. Hug Rebekah Z Jones. Hug Kristen Eckstein. Connect with new people to hug.
4. If this is your first event, what are you nervous about? Not my 1st event. But I’m still nervous. I created a BRAND NEW training session just for your folks at SIMPLE. Even with all my decades of speaking experience I always get nervous bringing out a new speech for the 1st time. I hope they like me.
5. Anything else you’d like others to know before they meet you in person? I’m just like I seem in social media, in my ezine, and wherever else you may have run into me in the past. I love meeting new folks. I love chatting & helping others at events. So don’t be shy. If you have a question about anything — just ask.
Can’t wait to get there!!
Felicia
Hey Felicia,
I’m looking forward to meeting you and hearing your presentation. I live in the Wilmington area so if there’s any way I can help or any info about the area you need, feel free to ask ahead of time or while we’re at the event.
Bruce
1. Your name, where you are traveling from, your primary website, and Twitter ID if you have one.
I’m Kristen Eckstein, and I have about 8 websites. :) We’re in the process of re-formatting my entire marketing strategy to funnel everything through http://www.kristeneckstein.com (branding me, yay!) but my primary business site is http://www.artsimagine.com
You can find me on Twitter – @imaginestudios and I’m quite active on Facebook.
I live in High Point, NC, so I’ll be driving 3 1/2 hours and getting into Wilmington around 8-9pm. I’ve lived here for 3 1/2 years, been to the beach several times, but never to Wilmington. Oh and I’m dragging my hubby along, too. He just wants to see the beach for his birthday, so he’ll be lounging in the (hopefully) warmer weather jotting down ideas for our books and sketches. :)
2. What has been your favorite training course or learning result from working with me in the past?
Haven’t worked with Bob directly yet, so I’m really looking forward to SIMPLE! I have followed you on Twitter for a while.
3. What are your primary goals while you’re at SIMPLE?
Well, I have a few. First of all is to make sure Felicia sells out of books, which shouldn’t be too hard since they’re absolutely amazing. ;) Second is to make new contacts and build relationships. Third would be to learn from amazing people.
4. If this is your first event, what are you nervous about?
Not my first event, I went to MEGA Book in Orlando last June, and was on staff for Carrie Wilkerson’s first annual BOSS event in October. I love new people, rarely get nervous about events, and tend not to sleep for fear I’ll miss something.
5. Anything else you’d like others to know before they meet you in person?
I’m a book coach who specializes in teaching speakers, coaches, and consultants how to self-publish “the right way” by forming their own publishing company (or arm to an existing business), thus cutting out the middle man and opening up marketing opportunities worldwide that do not exist through self-publishing companies. I also created writing coaching programs and coach writers one-on-one as a “Certified ‘But’ Kicker.” ;)
In short, I pull books out of people’s heads and help them get those books into print.
And I’m a chocoholic and proud of it. I’m looking forward to seeing everyone!!
-Kristen :)
Hey Kristen,
Looking forward to meeting you. Lots in common. Not just chocolate. (But then, isn’t chocolate enough??)
Bruce
Hey Kristen,
One more thing I forgot to tell you. If you get lost or need help while you’re in Wilmington, just ask anyone, “Where’s Kilwin’s?” It’s an awesome ice cream and chocolate shop in the center of downtown Wilmington and everyone knows where it is. Oh, and it’s just around the corner a bit from the Hilton.
Marge and I field-tested Kilwins today – something we feel compelled to do any time we’re in downtown Wilmington. It’s still good!
Bruce
Hey Everyone,
I am Erica Cosminsky. I will be traveling in from Murfreesboro, TN- I waited too late and I think I’m going to have to drive!
My website is http://TheSmallBusinessTranscriptionist.com and you can find me on Twitter at http://Twitter.com/Cosminsky
I love Bob’s products. It’s hard to name one but his LAMPS analogy has helped me a great deal lately.
My primary goals for SIMPLE are to start doing more connection and going to more live events. I’m also excited to learn directly from Bob. I absorb a lot more in person than I do by audio or video. I can’t wait to start doing my own teleseminars. I do have to admit I am a little nervous about meeting so many people I have talked to online for a long time.
Things you should know about me before the conference: We offer a great “networking” rate on our transcription. We also do Bob’s transcripts so be sure to buy the conference transcripts and let me know what you think of them. If I do have to drive in my business partner is coming with me, since we have to be back at a certain time on Monday. If you need an IT help, he’s not going to have anything to do all weekend.
Can’t wait to meet you all!
Erica
Hey Erica,
I’m looking forward to meeting you. I think you’ll love Wilmington.
Bruce
Hey everyone,
It’s Roger Neumann from Celburne, Texas. Oh, Dallas and Ft. Worth are suburbs of Cleburne. Ha Ha My wife, Diane and I just moved here from Puerto Rico the first of January. We lived in Puerto Rico for 11 months and we went there because I had a flying job which never materialized. Oh well, that’s life. My website is
http://www.rogerneumann.com
(there is a pic of Bob & me on one of the blogs while we were on the cruise) and my twittter is
http://www.twitter.com/rogerneumann.
I am a retired military and airline pilot and that is still my hobby. I have been flying for 49 years and one day I will get the hang of it. While I was still flying for the airlines, I started a landscape lighting company and I have NOW be doing that for 13 or 14 years. My tag line is ‘we will make your assets shine.”
This will be my first workshop with Bob and I am looking forward to the program and meeting new people of like minds and interests.
What I want and will get from the 3 days is finding my niche and getting focused to be able to start earning $$$$$$$$$$.
I started internet marketing because it seems to be very interesting to me and I know a person can be successful in that field. My problem is finding THAT NICHE to make things happen. My only true interests are flying (dah), landscape lighting and I do find self improvement a good field. In fact, my last real job was working for Get Motivated Seminars out of Tampa, Florida. I was doing telephone sales put I would like to have been on stage.
I read some people are looking for JV partners and I am open to look and listen to your offers. As we all know, if we work togeher, miracles happen!
Looking forward to meeting everyone
Roger Neumann
Go out and make it a $ucce$$ful day! “-)
Hey Roger,
Small world, of course. I was only in the D/FW area twice. Once in the mid 80s to teach a one day course on data conversion, and then again in the late 90s to attend a 3 day conference at Nokia University (best time that trip was line dancing lessons at some big club, Buddy’s or something like that).
Our younger son just moved from San Francisco to Fort Worth. Literally yesterday. Following a woman and in search of web design gig.
Looking forward to meeting you.
Bruce
Hello!
My name is Margie (pronounced with a hard g… as in girl) and my husband’s name is Tom. He is coming too! We are driving from near Rochester, NY. We decided to take a vacation week and stay down in North Carolina with friends who have begged us to come for a long time. So, this seemed destined to be!
My website is being constructed and will be simple, but hopefully live by the weekend! It will be http://www.thesharedjourney.com. My business is called The Shared Journey, Guiding Parents Toward Comfort, Courage, and Confidence. I am an encouragement coach for parents …. like a vitamin C coach! These are challenging times for purposeful and thoughtful parents and I encourage them toward self-care and self-awareness. I help parents turn their angst into awareness and a whole world of creative choices opens up! I also encourage them to turn worry into wonder, again taking the focus off the problem and embracing curiosity and learning. Parents need, want and deserve happiness, harmony and hope. The parents I work with are already good parents who want to be great parents from the inside out.
I am coming as a newbie in business and as a total beginner. This is my first event and as I have written to Bob, I am very nervous. Some of the jitters come from a whole history of overcoming negative messages. My passion for parents is fueled by having lived through a childhood of extreme abuse and is informed by professional experience as a teacher, psychotherapist and school psychologist. As difficult as life was for me, I grew deep roots into the soil of possibility and resilience. Still, I choke on getting my voice out to the public. But, I have followed Bob on the Internet enough to believe he is one of the most authentic and understated marketing experts out there. HIs style invited trust. I needed that.
My goals are: 1) To meet Bob, Felicia, and Adam and inhale the energy of all of the participants who I am SURE are so much more successful than I (smile).. I must face my fears and they are legion.
2) To learn how to use social media. I am technologically fearful and the fear blocks quick learning. So, I think I need the lessons in person. My dear husband, Tom, is coming to help me and learn along with me as he will be the one to pick up the pieces when I go “aaagh” and Tom in a controller of a manufacturing unit at Xerox. He is my numbers guy!
3) To play with some of my ideas and get some help in learning how to turn them into product and make some money!!
4) To meet people and enjoying sharing the business journey with dedicated and purposeful people!
I am also working on a book that is currently “calling out” to be finished. It is a book for parents based on an ancient scripture song Psalm 23 about shepherding. This is near and dear to my heart as it is a book about finding meaning in the mundane and courage in the chaos and is a kind of meditation for parents-on-the go (with no time to mediate)! It is fun and comforting even for me to write it! Except I have allowed myself to get distracted. (I know, I hear myself… ) There you have it. You can see why I need a live event. Looking forward to coming. Thanks for reading.
I hope Kristen brings chocolate!!!
Margie
Hi Margie,
I’m looking forward to meeting you. I think the warmth of the area (especially compared to Rochester but I’m really thinking about the people who live in coastal North Carolina) as well as the folks who are at the event – on both sides of the microphone – will ease your journey.
We have several points in common, including experience as teachers and therapists as well a heart for resilience and personal redirection.
See you here!
Bruce
If you have ever had occasion to use Bob’s help desk, I’m the person responding to you. :)
I’ll be traveling from the metro Atlanta area and my primary site is: Net Marketing For Newbies (and yes, it’s been months since I last posted).
My Twitter ID is: http://twitter.com/AnitaJohnson although I spend more time on Facebook (http://profile.to/anitajohnson).
While I have been following and learning from Bob since his first product, Free Ad Report, I think my favorite training was DiscoverButterflyMarketing because it allowed me to better understand, from the inside, how all of his previous sites were actually put together. Not only was that training an interesting challenge for me, but it was a real thrill to have completed Greeting Cards From Home (it also needs updating inside the members area).
My primary goals during SIMPLE are:
1. to gain a clearer and more focused approach to developing a business model that allows me to help people who struggle with basic Internet Marketing skills or technical issues (preferably interacting by phone or Skype and using free screen sharing software), and
2. to determine how best to monetize the help desk support and training skills that I provide.
This will be my 7th event. The most recent ones (NAMS2, NAMS3 and the Marketers Cruise) were ALL outstanding. And I’ll be attending NAMS4 in August, and cruising again next January!
If we exchange business cards, know in advance that my card is for my other site: http://greetingcardsfromhome.info (Bruce, sounds like your “31 Days to Greeting Card Mastery Marketing” is something I’d definitely like to read).
I’m looking forward to meeting each of you at SIMPLE and gaining clarity from the wealth of information we’ll be receiving.
Hey Anita,
Awesome intro note.
Marge and I are SOC distributors as well. My Greeting Card Marketing Mastery is NOT a SendOutCards book, but we did use SOC to create the 31 custom card fronts for each of the 31 Days of Tips in the book.
Looking forward to meeting you.
Bruce
Hi, I’m Bob Lampard and am travelling to Wilmington from London, England with my son,
Kevin. Not only will it be our first event but also our first trip across the Atlantic to see for ourselves the USA for real.
My two websites are: http://AskBobLampard.com and
http://SaveMarriageSecrets.com/blog. You can also find me on Twitter at
http://twitter.com/boblampard.
I have been following Bob for a while now but I first tasted success following his
‘8 Fold Path’ course. This enabled me to set up my first website and earn my first dollar online. This led me on to another website and the beginning of regular earnings, albeit of small amounts.
Other courses have helped me over technical obstacles, i.e. Discover C.Panel, Squidoo Secrets and Discover Freemind.
My goals for attending SIMPLE are to meet with like-minded people and hopefully make some lasting friends, as well as learning from all the speakers to enable me to take my business to the next level.
At this is my first live event I am nervous of being overwhelmed by meeting so many new people while being half way across the world from my comfort zone. Having said that I am really looking forward to next weekend.
I am putting the final touches to my first product, an ebook. It is almost done except for the title which is causing me a problem! Being a bit of a non-techie I am looking forward to learning from Lon about video, Adam, Felicia….everyone!
See you all next week.
Bob
Hey, Mate!
Bob, it’s great to hear from you. There’s actually a pretty sizable British community in Wilmington. You likely won’t have a chance to see/meet any of them, but maybe.
I you and your son intend to get here early or stay around a bit after the event, I’d be happy to point out things you might want to do or see.
Best,
Bruce
Hi All, looking forward to meeting you and learning together.
My name is D’vorah Lansky. I will be traveling from Hartford, CT.
Here’s my elevator speech so you have a sense of “what I’m about”.
“I help professionals to increase their sales and referrals and retain
their clients through Relationship Marketing via Custom Designed
WordPress Blogs and SendOutCards, Keep-in-Contact, System.”
Here are my social networking links:
LinkedIn Profile: http://www.linkedin.com/in/themarketingwizard
Facebook Profile: http://www.facebook.com/dvorah.lansky
Twitter: http://twitter.com//marketingwizard
My Primary Websites…. Well, being a Blog Developer I’ll try and
narrow the list down, grin!
http://CardsYouRemember.com
http://InternetMarketingOnaShoestring.com
http://TheBlogStation.com
MY FAVORITE COURSE that I’ve taken with Bob…
Hmmm, Tough to narrow it down, but I’d say it is
Discover Auto Responders BECAUSE I could not
sleep when I took that course.
I got so many ideas and could see the application of the course deliverability model and how it can be applied to any topic or industry. Taking this course actually helped me develop two courses that I have in the works, using this mindmapping delivery method.
MY PRIMARY GOALS for coming to SIMPLE are:
1. To have the opportunity to learn from Bob and meet him face to face. I know this is not news to anyone reading this, but Bob is uniquely incredible in what a kind and giving and generous teacher and person he is. – no wonder his students succeed.
2. To share the experience with my cousin Rick who is meeting me at the event. We are working on some very exciting projects together and this will be Rick’s first event.
3A. To meet and spend time with Lon Naylor, who I study with and learn so much from.
3B. To meet Adam and Melissa who I have been networking with online.
3C. To meet the folks who will be attending this event and develop new friendships and connections.
4. To walk away with a solid plan of action for taking my business to the next level.
This is not my first event, but it is the first IM event that I’ve flown to.
What am I nervous about…hmmm, keeping an eye on the weather, doing a sun dance and vibbing for good weather on travel days.
Looking forward to meeting you all. I have a feeling we are in for a life changing event! See you soon!
D’vorah
Hey D’vorah,
We’ve now connected on Twitter and Facebook, but in case you read this first, Marge and I moved to the Wilmington area after 30 years in West Hartford, CT at the end of 2003, so we’re familiar with both places. Also, we’re also involved actively with SendOutCards.
See you soon,
Bruce
Bob, great “homework” idea to get to know others before the event.
Hi Everyone,
I’m so excited to be attending SIMPLE. My name is MaryAnn D’Ambrosio and I live in Newington, CT (suburb of Hartford, CT). My website is: http://www.leadoutloudnow.com and Twitter ID: http://twitter.com/imagintuit
I’m new to internet marketing and last fall I followed Bob’s Teleseminar Formula lessons to quickly create a product. (Thank you, Bob!)
My goals for SIMPLE are many fold: (1) Absorb and integrate the knowledge from the event so I can quickly and easily apply it to my new business; (2) Meet and network with as many people as possible (3) Seek out partnering opportunities; (4) Find 2 or 3 like-minded individuals interested in creating a Mastermind Group; and (5) Meet and speak to all the VIPs.
This is my first Internet Marketing event and I’m more excited than nervous (except for wanting the weather to be “perfect” so flights take-off as scheduled). I really enjoy meeting people and I love to hear their stories . . . at times, however – I can be a bit shy. Feel free to draw me out.
This is a Transformational event for me . . . I’m leaving Corporate (on April 1st) after 30+ years in the Energy Industry to create a second career that speaks to my true calling. I would be happy to tell you about it when we meet in NC.
Looking forward to learning and playing together, MaryAnn D’Ambrosio
Hey MaryAnn,
Marge and I are also from Connecticut. We moved here (the Wilmington area) from West Hartford at the end of 2003. Marge worked corporate for about 23 years in all (21 at Travelers till they down-sized her) and then almost 2 years at Aetna till she fired them! It was the best thing career-wise that ever happened to her.
Flying out of Hartford can be tricky, but hopefully you’ll connect in Charlotte which should be less iffy than connecting in Philadelphia.
We’re looking forward to meeting you.
Bruce
Hi everyone!
What an impressive group of people so far. I feel like I am challenged to keep up!
This is almost my first conference! I went to the NAMS3 conference in Atlanta at the end of Jan….found it because I was on Bob’s radar and got in at the last minute when they had a few cancellations. ( Plus, took Hubby there to get involved and he really has started to take an interest in it)
I am NEW to all this internet marketing protocol, system, and oh so many choices. It is so easy to get confused. Which is exactly where I was before I met Bob. I was following that “shiny object syndrome”….I kept thinking…well, maybe that is a better way, or easier for me….not realizing that any or all could work…provided you knew what you were doing in the first place.
Three years ago I decided to start an internet business. I signed up with a company called ” Stores On Line” I managed to put the site up in 4 months, ( with their patient help) and have grown that business to 5 figure’s, but honestly, doing more sales the old fashioned way: direct….not online.
The site is: http://www.GretchensGems.com
I find myself limited with availability of products with vendors, and quality issues. I began to ask myself, is this what I want to do for the next 10 years? and the answer is NO.
I much prefer a membership type business or affiliate marketing. At least, I think so.
I have 10 years experience in the weight loss field, with Weight Watchers. I was a leader working directly with hundreds of women ( some men) each week on their weight loss goals and efforts. I have a wealth of experience and am passionate about not only my future health, but others also. I want to help….. and I know I can reach out and give a lot of motivational tips, kindly nudges, and great practical information…especially in the cooking dept….they called me the recipe queen.
I have started 2 new blogs: http://getthegoodness.com and http://Aliveto100.com
The first is all about the food and tips and resources to have a healthy body.
The 2nd is all about what it will take to be active, healthy and vital to 100 years of age. My vision of that one is to be interactive and people will share their experiences and what has worked for them in working out issues they have encountered.
My goal at this conference: To meet exciting, committed individuals who want to make a difference. And who want to make money, too. And to learn a system…that I can follow, step by step, that will get me there.
I want to make my “pension” money. I don’t want to rely on anyone else to provide for my old age. I know of too many friends who worked at the same job for years, and are suddenly looking a very reduced lifestyle. I do not want to be in that position.
I totally believe in being proactive.
I also have 18 years experience as a realtor/appraiser and background in the social services field. I am definitely a people person. It’s the tech stuff that will drive me crazy! If I can find a way to master that…I will be successful…because I am a very persistent person..and will not quit until I reach my goals.
And I will bring the chocolate!!!!
Wow. Hey, Gretchen! We have soo much in common. Real estate, background in people/social services and a huge Jones for chocolate (it actually seems pretty common in this group, LOL). Have no fear, there’s an awesome chocolate (and ice cream!) place close by the hotel, and they stay open late on weekends!! Marge and I field-tested it (yet again) just this afternoon!
Can’t wait to welcome you to Wilmington!
Bruce
Hi, I’m Kay Kinder from Ottawa Ontario in Canada (an American living abroad).
I have many websites but the easiest to reach me through is http://www.KinderPromotions.com You can also find me on twitter under my name kaykinder
I met Bob the Teacher at JV impact 2009 in January in Orlando and was quite impressed with the information he provided at that event so I signed up for his teleseminar training that same day. Less than a month later we began the teleseminar training online from the comfort of my own home.
Please note that although I have extensive experience in internet & offline marketing I am technically challenged when it comes to learning new software – Bob took what would have taken me literally months to learn on my own and had me successfully creating my own teleseminars within a few short hours.
But here was the best part – not only did I learn how to quickly use teleseminars with ease, but the additional information he provided during the course allowed me to quickly add more websites, collect visitor information, handle email campaigns, create ebooks in less than one hour, create products from concept to market in less time than it takes me to cook dinner most nights and so much more.
Bob truly is a “teacher” with his easy style that shows simply how to do things online without making his students feel simple! He teaches with respect to his students which is a real treat in todays ego driven society.
Even though I am already familiar with the topics Bob is teaching at his SIMPLE event, I am still going because I know he is going to provide more quality content than what is being advertised for his event – he always does! Just the free bonuses he sent all the attendees so far is proof of that! Besides he always find ways for me to simplify what I am doing so I can have more free time to enjoy family and friends.
I look forward to meeting my fellow students live this week in Wilmington NC. I haven’t been to Wilmington since my last pirate ship battle…. you will have to ask me personally if you want to hear that story!
See you Friday!
Kay Kinder
Hey Kay,
Definitely want to hear that pirate story. Also it sounds like you, Marge and I should talk while your here in Wilmington.
Bruce
Looking forward to meeting you, Kay. And I definitely want to hear the pirate ship battle story!
Bruce
Hi my name is Ronald Headley and I will be driving from Lexington KY, somewhere around a 12 hour drive.
I own eTech n Stuff http://www.etechnstuff.com I started off as an eBay drop off store where people bring in items for me to sell on eBay for them. I also do audio and video conversion – I can convert just about anything in analog media (records, tapes, VHS, film, prints, and so on into Digital formats.
I have several websites and blog sites and am on several social media sites – a pretty good list of what I am doing and where I am at on the internet can be found in my google profile which is located at http://www.google.com/profiles/etechnstuff1
I bought Bob’s Discovery C-Panel product and found it to be a great help in dealing with my host provider. C-Panel used to really make me nervous – I am not a programmer or web site designer and I simple did not understand much about C-Panel only that if I messed up my sites and email would crash and I used to have to pay people to fix things that I had messed up. Now thanks to Discover C-Panel I have several blogs and sites that I manage myself.
I started to follow some of Bob emails and phone seminars and decided that he would be who I wanted to learn from for my next steps which include affiliate programs and information products.
I have one information product completed that I want to get launched – I know how to sell the product on eBay but need to learn how to sell from a web site.
I have another information product that I am working on that I need to learn more about how to use Camtasia to get this so is looks and works better.
I am also putting together another product site – at present I sell physical products on several marketing sites as well as my own site.
I have been to several seminars on internet marketing over the years and looking forward to this one which seems to be about what I need to learn next.
I am looking forward to the seminar and meeting all of you and especially finally meeting and learning from Bob
Hey Ronald, I’m looking forward to meeting you. Sounds like we have several point of interest intersection. Bruce

Favorite training is your one-on-one that created solid models for me to repurpose existing and new content, and grow what I have in place to new heights.
My PRIMARY Goal at SIMPLE is to connect with like-minded internet business owners, research and explore new resource providers, find great JV Partners for upcoming teleseminars and Telesummits (I just put on http://www.theultimatetrafficsummit.com)and to find potential mastermind members.
I’ve been attending live events and virtual trainings for over 5 years, NOT nervous, Excited! I work with biz owners offline and online to take them from marketing fear to marketing profitably.
I’m here to serve and support the success of my colleagues, I believe in Pay It Forward always. Ask me about social media, relationship marketing, networking, product generation, and more, I’m always happy to share strategies, proven tactics, tools, and time saving shortcuts.
If you can’t remember me as Melissa or ProsperbyDesign, perhaps you know architecture and will remember me as the great grandaughter of America’s most famous architect, Frank Lloyd Wright, or you like old movies, and will know me as the daughter of Anne Baxter (think 10 Commandments and the Egyptian Princess . . . )
Bob and his faculty ROCK!
Melissa,
It will be great to see you again.

Bruce
Hello All,
Have some fun for me. I know I am still consulting the materials from Bob’s event in 2008. I will be looking for the tweets, Bob. Mike Logan
I’m coming to Wilmington from Santa Clarita, California. Santa Clarita is about 40 miles north of Los Angeles.
On Twitter I am @ConnieGreen
I have many websites and products, but I’m most often recognized as the Big Money Tiny List gal. I run a blog by the same name.
I’m a former classroom teacher, real estate broker, and residential appraiser who walked away from it all and came online at the end of 2005. I have been fortunate enough to connect with some incredible people online, mainly by attending live events almost every month, and this has helped me to triple my income from what I used to make working 7 days a week teaching and in real estate. I also now hold my own events, either in Los Angeles or Las Vegas.
I’ve followed Bob for almost two years, and finally met him last April at an event. I trust him implicitly.
My purpose for attending is to connect with all of you, to find some speakers for my own live events(3 a year currently), and to bring my student, Suzan Schmitt, with me. I choose a student every few months and bring them to a live event. I believe this makes a huge difference in their level of success.
Can’t wait to meet everyone and learn something new!
Wow, Connie,
I can’t wait to meet you. Some awesome ideas already just from your short post.
Bruce
Bob,
My name is Greg Martin from Dover, De. I am so happy to know that Kate from Milford, De will be there also. I thought I would have a hard time getting people understand where I am from. Katy will have an even harder time. Hint: it’s near Dover.
I feel that I have not really “mixed” with everyone as I should have but that does not portend that I am a loner. I am looking forward to being with all of you and learning from the all who attend.
My Web site is TheHoneyfactor.com. I have a Twitter ID but am going to wait until after the sessions in Wilmington where I will learn how to be effective in its use.
Your course in Teleseminars was exciting to me as I actually used it to make me better prepared for my project after doing research for the teleseminars.
My primary goal is to consolidate a process for making my product as well as myself well known to my targeted niche markets. This will include social media, blogs, etc. including teleseminars. I also feel I need my web site beefed up. So looking for suggestions and a vendor to fill in what is needed. The bottom line though is to get me more focused.
I have been to a number of events, the first one being with Adam Urbanski. This is my first event with you. Neither one of you make me nervous.
I am bringing a sample bottle of one of my skin creams for everyone there. I’d like for them to try it and will gladly take testimonials from any one about the cream. No obligation whatsoever.
I am dellighted to be with such an illustrious group of people. I anticipate great results for everyone in reaching their goals.
Hey Greg,
I know where Dover, NH is, but that’s all I’ve got. Oh yeah, and the White Cliffs of Dover, too. That’s in New Jersy, right? LOL.
Looking forward to meeting you.
Bruce
I am so excited to be attending this event. I have met Bob as he lives real close to me–but to be attending this event is going to be the highlight of my year.
I live a short distance–from Wilmington. 30 minutes in a small town called Boiling Spring Lakes.
My twitter id is hollypowell
No, I’m not Holly Powell the fitness trainer–or Holly Powell the artist.
I have many websites
One is my primary blog
http://whoishollypowell.com
One that I’m particularly proud of is Simple How To Videos
http://simplehowtovideos.com short video training under 5 minutes
This is my first event with Bob–so looking forward to it.
I am looking to find more ways to automate/streamline my affiliate streams of income
I put my first video up around October 2007
Put my first blog post up around October 2008
Quit my job October 13, 2009!!!
Looking forward to meeting all of you.
I flew in an extra day early and it’s a good thing I did – I spent 21 hours in the airports yesterday just traveling from Ottawa Ontario to Wilmington NC all because of the snow which caused massive delays!
But I made it – So now I am in toasty warm and comfortably relaxing in my beautiful hotel room overlooking the river with the USS North Carolina right across the water…
What a great spot for an event Bob! My plans today – review all the information Bob has been sending us for the last month.
If you are coming early and want to join me for dinner just pop me a note on twitter (kaykinder) or email me and I will respond.
I can’t wait to see all the great things Bob has in store for us tomorrow on the first day of the SIMPLE event… it should be THE event for online marketing in 2010!
Kay Kinder
