Is your business benefiting from competition? Whether you say yes or no is irrelevant if you’re only thinking of this question in the traditional sense.
Most people think they need to beat or outflank their competition. Or go where there is no competition. But what if you could grow your business by embracing your competitors business and existence?
May sound strange, and perhaps counter-intuitive, but it’s a powerful strategy that many successful entrepreneurs use. This is especially true in the online marketing world where the customer base is so open.
I’d like to share a free a report with you (the download link is below), which will help you get a sharper edge by leveraging your competition.

The report was written by Lynn Terry, and if you’ve heard me talk about her before, you know she is very generous with her strategies. She’s got a great brainstorming forum by the way at Self Starters Weekly Tips (I just became a paying subscriber myself).
Anyway, she’s also a concise writer, so you don’t have to read through a bunch of fluff before getting to the meat (this report is just 11 rich pages). In less time than it takes you to watch a rerun of Friends, you could likely read this report twice.
Another Friday Freebie for you! And feel free to pass along the report to your own subscribers as a gift for them, too.

p.s. Lynn and I will both be instructors at NAMS (Niche Affiliate Marketing Systems Seminar) in Atlanta in January. Want to join us?
p.p.s. Lynn describes 7 ways to leverage your competition. Please post a comment below with your favorite method, and any results you get when you implement it!

Thanks Bob and Lynn. This is a wonderful list of ways to leverage the competition. I will be using all of them in one of my markets that is highly competitive…and maybe in some of my less competitive markets (but of course). I particularly appreciate the emphasis on doing these in the right order.

Thank you Susan – and thanks Bob for sharing this report. I’ll chime in and say that trackbacks & guest posts are one of my favorite methods. Trackbacks see a higher click-through rate than comments, and guest posts are free high-quality permanent inbound links… plus exposure to a blogger’s readership.
I look forward to hearing more comments!
