As the creator of Squidoo Secrets, I’m quite picky when it comes to every new tool or ebook that comes out about Squidoo. But when @TheFluffaNutta came out with his SquidUtils Toolbar a couple weeks ago, I was excited.

Fluff is a long time lensmaster, and has been entrenched in the inner sanctum of Squidoo programming and functionality for quite a while (he’s also a Squidoo Secrets member, to boot). He’s often called upon to help out with new features of Squidoo.

In any case, he’s created an awesome toolbar for Squidoo lensmasters that streamlines your logins, lensrolling, getting to your dashboard, and any other management of your Squidoo account you can think of.

And if he hasn’t already included it, he can add it.

Joanna and I are off to Poland for two weeks!

We’re both pretty excited to make the trip, although she’s petrified of flying. She keeps asking if we can take a boat instead. :)

We’ll be flying to Warsaw via Atlanta and London. After a day visiting with her brother in the capital, we’ll make the 6 hour drive to Debrzno on Friday.

As you can imagine, I’ll be trying my best to stay “unplugged” on vacation. So I’d like to remind you of how I can still help you while I’m away.

Today’s lesson is about growing your list of subscribers and customers without spending huge amounts of money on advertising.

The way I’ve grown my business is by letting my current clients recommend my sites to other people, and then rewarding them for doing so. In fact, I estimate that 80% of my subscribers and customers came to me at some point from someone else’s recommendation (which is over 16,000 people!).

Of course, we’d all like to think that when you make something great, others will want to tell people about it just because.

And that does happen.

But a little incentive can go a long way! Let me explain…

First, let me share the lens rank with you. When I made the lens, it was 430,126. 24 hours later, it was 59,741. Right now, it’s at 912 after 48 hours.

Next, I searched for the terms “febene” and “guerrilla balance sheet” since I started the lens. During the first 36 hours, my lens did not show up. However, as of right now when I’m writing this post, when you do that same search on Google, you find…
