[Mailbag] Is Article Marketing The Best Traffic Method?

From the Ask Bob The Teacher mailbag, I received this question from Tony Prodger:

“Would you say that article writing is the best way to attract people to your website and be able to add them to your list?”

Thanks for your question, Tony, here’s my answer.

[Teleseminar Formula] 3 Ways To Get More Traffic With Teleseminars

By Bob Jenkins

The number one issue faced by any business person with a website today is getting traffic.

Without visitors to your website, how will you ever be paid for your products and services (or through your affiliate recommendations)?

One solution to this problem is holding a teleseminar.

A teleseminar is simply a phone call where somebody (i.e., you) talks to somebody else (i.e., a guest expert or just the audience) about a specific topic of interest.

You don’t have to have any specific educational background or be some kind of certified expert to hold a teleseminar – just the courage to hold an intelligent conversation for about an hour about something you enjoy.

Marketing with teleseminars gives you over a dozen ways to get traffic to your products and services. Let me highlight 3 of them for you right now.

Should You Use Audio On Your Website?

In today’s lesson, I’m going to assume that you already have a website on the internet somewhere.

Perhaps it’s a blog, a simple squeeze page, a mini-site, or even a full-blown membership site.

(If you don’t have any of these, you really should watch FirstWebsiteTutorial.com so you can see how easy it is to get started).

The lesson today focuses on using Audio on your website.

Let Others Grow Your List For You

Today’s lesson is about growing your list of subscribers and customers without spending huge amounts of money on advertising.

The way I’ve grown my business is by letting my current clients recommend my sites to other people, and then rewarding them for doing so. In fact, I estimate that 80% of my subscribers and customers came to me at some point from someone else’s recommendation (which is over 16,000 people!).

Of course, we’d all like to think that when you make something great, others will want to tell people about it just because.

And that does happen.

But a little incentive can go a long way! Let me explain…

[Squidoo Secrets] Results From My FeBeNe Lens After 48 Hours

Here’s a quick follow up to my Squidoo Secret hunt that I sent to you the other day.

(This is where I asked you to check out my lens about the Guerrilla Balance Sheet, and find the secrets I teach inside the lens…)

First, let me share the lens rank with you. When I made the lens, it was 430,126. 24 hours later, it was 59,741. Right now, it’s at 912 after 48 hours.

Next, I searched for the terms “febene” and “guerrilla balance sheet” since I started the lens. During the first 36 hours, my lens did not show up. However, as of right now when I’m writing this post, when you do that same search on Google, you find…

[Squidoo Secrets] Can You Find All The Squidoo Secrets Here?

Yesterday, I received word that a long awaited report from one of my mentors (Paulie Sabol) and his business partners (Ben Mack and Jay Conrad Levinson) was finally released.

I decided to create a Squidoo lens about it in order to pick up traffic, revenue, etc., just like I teach in Squidoo Secrets. In less than an hour, I created a nifty little lens packed with my Squidoo strategies.
The report is called the Guerrilla Balance Sheet, and my lens is www.Squidoo.com/febene-review.

If you’ve been following my Squidoo Secrets course (either the first version, or through the live workshop that just ended last week), I invite you to participate in a Squidoo Secret hunt.

Check out the lens, do whatever comes to mind when you read over the lens, and then come back to this page to post your favorite affiliate marketing tips and Squidoo “secret” items that I included on the page. There are plenty to choose from, so if someone already picked yours, go ahead and list something else. (Just pick one, though, so more people can have fun with this…)

Bob Jenkins

p.s. And if you enjoy the lens make sure you sprinkle some lens love with the stars :)

[Squidoo Secrets] For More Traffic, Make Your Squidoo Lens Easy To Find

You may create the best, most useful content on your Squidoo lens, but if no one can find it, it is useless. To increase the chance that your lens will be found, here are several strategies.

Write An Effective And Compelling Lens Title
One of the most important things to do when you first create your lens is to take the time to create an effective and compelling title. You must consider two points of view here: what the search engines see and what your visitors will see.

You need to remember that Squidoo embeds <h1> tags around the title that makes it a powerful magnet. So when the search engines index your lens, this is the first thing they look at. If you do your keyword research and use keywords that your audience is using to search for your topic, then you will score better search engine rankings.

Let’s look at two possible titles for a lens…
