My Favorite Way To “Write” Content

I’ll tell you my favorite method of creating digital products in just a second (and give you a video about it), but first, I have to say….

Wow!

On Monday, I offered my Discover Product Creation Workshop to you and others who have learned from me in the past. And all the spots were snatched up by that evening.

I guess there are a lot more people who want to learn how to create their own free report than I thought!

But with all the spots taken, you may be missing out on what those that are in the workshop are learning.

Your 3 Choices For Election Day Blowout

Here’s an update for Election Day Blowout, coming Tuesday, November 4th.

If you posted a comment the other day, telling me what you think Election Day Blowout should do for you, thank you!  There were a lot of great ideas.

Let’s call that the “primary season” of the election, and now it’s time for the runoff.

Today, I’m narrowing all the great ideas to 3 choices, and asking again for your vote.  I’d also like to invite you to become an affiliate of the event.  Regardless of what’s going to be available, you and I could split the profit of your sales 50/50!

Format Your Email For Easier Reading

One of the ways you can make it more likely your entire email will be read and acted on is to make it easier to read.

Since a lot of people still work on text-based emails, the primary method of formatting your email is to reduce the length of the lines. Instead of having a natural text wrap which would extend your text all the way across the screen, you can break the lines at a certain length.

Use Aweber’s Blog Broadcast To Keep Your Readers Up To Date

One of the most under-used features at leading autoresponder service Aweber is the Blog Broadcast. This is where your readers can receive your blog posts in their inbox. It’s great for your readers who either don’t understand RSS readers/aggregators, or haven’t had a chance to set it up.

Here’s how the blog broadcast feature works:

Your readers put their name and email into an opt-in form, just like they normally would to start getting emails from you. But instead of you having to set up a follow up series and manually send out broadcast messages, the system sends the emails for you when your blog is updated.

All you have to do is

Autoresponders Are Your Automated Communication Systems

You have to build a list.

How many times have you heard that before? So I don’t need to convince you that having a list is essential to promoting a business online.

However, you may want to stop thinking of the importance of building a list for just a moment. When you think too much about building a list, you probably get wrapped up in the self-doubt that plagues so many people.

  • “I’ll never be able to get more than 1000 subscribers!”
  • “Why would anybody want to listen to what I have to say?”
  • “I don’t have anything to give away to get somebody to subscribe to my list”
  • “I don’t want people to think I’m spamming them.”
  • “I don’t even have a website yet, so how can I build a list?”

If you have thought any of these before - trust me, you are not alone!

Stop letting these thoughts paralyze you. Instead I want you to think of building a traffic net.

Get More Done When You Turn Your To Do List Into A Mind Map

Every productivity expert will give you their opinion about how to get more things done in the same amount of time.

They’ll show you how to make to do lists, categorize them with 1, 2, 3, or A, B, C and try to get you to eliminate tasks off your list.

These methods can be helpful for some, but if it’s not working for you take a look at mind maps.

Mind maps are simply visual representations of ideas. You’ve probably used them before to organize your thoughts on a business project, or back in school when you were thinking about writing a research paper.

There are plenty of mind mapping software programs out there, from free to expensive. All have their own merits, but my favorite one to use is Freemind.

This won the medal for me because it’s simple, uses a hierarchical structure, exports maps as images, PDFs, and text outlines.

Let me give you an example of my (pretty typical) to-do list from this weekend.
