Over the next 2 weeks, I’d like to share some ideas with you about having your own affiliate program. This will take the form of a 4-6 part series.
Before I begin to teach you about this very important topic, I need to know where you are in the process.
So take this quick poll, and retweet it for me so I can get an accurate idea of where you’re at.

p.s. Although your response is anonymous, it will help me know what you need me to teach you in this article series.

Hey Bob!
You know, rather than say where I am, I’d like to say where I’d like to be:
I’m most interested in learning how to set up an affiliate program for a subscription site…

Hi Bob,
I don’t really see any point in having your own affiliate programme.
Paydotcom and Clickbank do a far better job than I ever could.
Plus there is the expense of having to pay someone to install the script and come in each time any alterations have to be made.
It seems to be just asking for extra hassle.
Plus – in 2 years selling on Paydotcom I still have no affiliates.
I’m not a guru. LOL
I am interest in learning more about how to setup a good affiliate program that is very easy to implement. Also, how do you train affiliates? How do you even start?

As you know, I created my first product, and eventually would like to sell it, but I believe it still needs feedback and some work. Hint, hint. :)
The hosting service I use already has the tools I need to setup an affiliate system as well as a way I can offer products, including a shopping cart. Just have not taken the time to learn how to use it.
If you want to meet a real authority on affiliate program: Shake my hand.
I have been dealing with with affiliate marketing for the last 3 years and all I know is pure distilled failure.
Lost a lot of money and time.I have studied all major courses and downloaded tons of ebooks and software and what did I get?
A brain full of useless knowledge and an empty bank account.
I still hope of of these days I am going to hit the ball in the sweet spot.
May be I can become Hector the Failure Teacher.
Best regards
Hector
Hi Bob,
I am in the same place as Liane and, like Clive, don’t see point of affiliate program, at least not at the stage I am right now.
Am interested to learn more.

I would love to get into affiliate marketing but really don’t know where/how to start. Some sites say you need a website, some don’t, and I haven’t had the time to read or find a good ebook about everything.

I would like to know everything it takes without any fluff or beating around the bush. I don’t believe that B.S. and half baked lessons and especially rehashed information that is out of date belong in any business. Especially if anyone has to pay for it.
Hey Bob the poll is missing several platform options but a good start in any case. Did you know there are over 50 affiliate systems and 100’s of networks?
Cheers.
Launching an affiliate program is a great idea. All business should have them. I personally think Commission Junction is the best place for a company’s affiliate program.
